BIOGRAPHY

Tom has a longtime career as a design consultant, and has design studios in Carmel, California, and Whitefish, Montana. In addition to working with his branding clients, he also spends time doing landscape oil paintings.

For the past decade, Tom was co-founder of Enjoy Techology, and prior to Enjoy, he has provided brand consulting to Stanford Medicine, The Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Whitefish Mountain Resort, and Two Bear Capital.

From 1991 to 2001, Tom was Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of CKS Group, a publicly held branding and interactive advertising agency headquartered in Silicon Valley. Tom led work for such companies as Apple, United Airlines, Nike, Pebble Beach and Pixar.

In 1998, Tom and his CKS team was hired by Steve Jobs to lead marketing communications support for all Apple products, including the worldwide launch of the iMac product line and graphics for the Apple Store prototype. Additionally, Tom and his team led the creation of brand identities for eBay, Excite and Amazon.

Earlier in his career, Tom was Worldwide Creative Director for Landor Associates, leading programs for such companies as GE, World Wildlife Fund, Caterpillar and Hyatt Hotels.

Prior to Landor, Tom was Director of Creative Services for Apple Computer, where he and his team oversaw Apple's corporate identity and marketing materials for the first Macintosh product line in 1984.

Tom has served on a number of boards, including The Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
